Great AV/multipurpose cart
Product Review for Luxor - Presentation Station in Black
I work in a research lab and after searching high and low for a desk or cart to put a small piece of equipment on, decided to give this station a try. It is perfect! It was easy to put together, is the perfect height and the slide out tray is phenomenal for note taking while observing the equipment.

Product Review for Luxor - Presentation Station in Black
I am a traveling teacher, which means that I do not have my own classroom. I purchased this AV cart to make it easier to carry my items (folders, briefcase, text book, laptop, projector, speakers) from classroom to classroom and so that I didn't have to borrow one from anyone else. I have a borrowed one at school, which is very similar in style and function to the cart I purchased, but I wanted one that had a separate tray for a laptop. With the one I borrowed, my laptop had to share the top shelf with the projector -- at any given time, either could be perilously hanging over the edge.I like this product because it meets my specifications, it's neat looking and appears to be fairly sturdy. There were a few things that I did not appreciate. It didn't take me as long as one of the reviewers to assemble. However, had there been more organization to the packaging, i.e. if the directions for the cart assembly and shelf assembly were in the same plastic bag, I would have managed the assembly better. The allen screws that were provided to attach the rails for the laptop tray to the tubing posts of the cart were virtually useless. I actually used my own 1/2" screws after creating pilot holes in the tubing posts. I suspect pilot holes were not pre-drilled because you actually determine at what height you want to place the laptop (this makes sense). So, you will have to do some measuring to make sure the railings are fairly level on both sides. After the rails were in place, attaching the tray to the rails and sliders was pretty easy. The laptop tray itself is metal, which is not the worst thing in the world. But, why not use the same (plastic) material as the other 3 trays for the cart (top, middle and bottom trays)? My metal laptop tray actually has a few dents in it from the manufacturer[...].I plan to purchase a skid-free mat for the metal, laptop tray. I would tend to think this will be a necessity, if you want to protect your laptop investment. It would have been nice for the skid-free mat to be included as part of the purchase price, as well as edges (similar to the other trays on the cart) and not just a flat surface. Also, most of the carts at my school have a skid-free mat for the top tray of the cart, including the one I currently am borrowing.I would have given a higher rating for this cart had I not experienced some of the above faults. Still I think it will suit my purposes and I suppose I would recommend it to a friend. But, I would talk him or her through the installation.

A Very Useful Cart
Product Review for Luxor - Presentation Station in Black
I assembled it wrong, twice. Had to take it apart and reassemble, until I got it right on the third try. Needs better instructions.
